The clue is in the name. Lightstrike foam is the lighter of Adidas's two Padel midsoles, sitting lower than the Boost cushioning and pulling your centre of gravity closer to the court. That trade buys you court feel and faster reactions on the change of direction, which is exactly what the speed merchants are after.

Underneath, the Adiwear rubber compound and a multidirectional traction pattern are cut for the abrasive sand and turf you actually play on. The grooves channel grit out of the way so the outsole keeps biting through a long match rather than skating off on the third set.

Stability comes from a TPU support frame that wraps the midfoot, holding your foot over the platform during those explosive lunges. The breathable mesh upper keeps things cool, and an Adituff TPU reinforcement guards the toe against the drag you put it through on serves and stretched volleys.

One fitting note worth knowing: Adidas tends to run slightly narrow through the midfoot. If your feet are on the wider side, or they swell over a couple of hours of play, go half a size up. Stay true to size if your foot is on the thinner side and let the frame do the locking.
